We visit your site to assess floor condition, species, and thickness; measure the area; identify any boards requiring repair; and discuss your requirements, finish preferences and preferred timeline. You receive a written specification and fixed quotation before anything is agreed.
We work through five grades of abrasive belts in decreasing coarseness, using professional drum and edge sanders calibrated to the floor type. This systematic approach removes old finish and surface damage without over-sanding the timber, leaving a perfectly level, clean surface ready for finishing.
We apply stain if required, followed by two to three coats of wax, oil, or lacquer — buffed between each application. Finish is specified to suit the environment: footfall levels, cleaning regimes, aesthetic requirements and whether the floor needs to meet any sports or safety standards.
We walk through the completed work with you or your facilities team, confirm the result meets specification, and provide written floor care instructions so the finish is maintained correctly between service visits.
